oh, yes.. i have been in my FOB mood lately.. can't help it.. i've got to bust out w/ my red, white, blue, & yellow bandera (flag) once in a while.. well, the song above was meant to be a love song, but some of the words pertain to friendship.. [translation: why do we have to be at a distance to realize how much we love each other?.. i wish that only for a moment, u were in my arms.. i wish that u were here.] altho, i've been missin my grade/high school friends, i did not realize the magninimity of such a loss until this thanksgiving holiday.. so often i take for granted their generosity of time & concern for me that i never truly appreciated them for what they're worth.. i miss the lil things we use to do, say..
THANKSGIVING DAY - a national holiday set aside to give gratitude to those who mean a lot to us and for the many blessings we have received.. but, personally, i find it partially absurd that there should be one day of thanksgiving.. acknowledging those special people in our lives and appreciating our gits should be an everyday occurrence.. not just ONE day..
this year & every day of my natural life, i'm whole-heartedly grateful for:
my family - who have endured so much thru the years.. who have loved me unconditionally & provided for my every needs.. who accepted me for who i really am.
iSkiTtLeS - the one and onyl crew.. admittingly, the group has diminished but i know our love & care for each other are still strong.
my ate's/kuya's/lil sis' & bro's - truly great support group.. whenever i am in the "whirlpool of confusion", they have a certain force that eventually removes me.. trusting me & me trusting u back are the best gifts u have given me. quality is hard to find.
HFHS, Prov, GHS - i'm thankful for the warm, inviting environment u've set me in..
MSMC extended Ohana - haha.. we've started great this frosh year.. thus far, i truly enjoy ur company & acts of kindness..
u know who u are thnx for allowing me to discover unfound horizons, for opening my eyes, for seein me thru..
and last but not least... our LORD ALMIGHTY.. i thank you, Father, for ur abundant gifts, talents, and love.. with u, all things are possible..
I'm going to stop procrastinating ... once I get around to it.
